Jane sang with the Tubes (wrote and sang their quasi-hit “Don’t Touch Me There”), and the performance-art group Leila and the Snakes (late ’70s San Francisco – also featuring Pearl Harbor of Explosions fame)… well regarded standup comedienne, played Nurse Murch in the movie “The Right Stuff,” mostly SF Bay Area centered but moved to New York City in the early ’80s to do radio. She was killed in a helicopter crash over the Hudson River while doing a live traffic report.
