Duo Sandy y Papo Loses Papo in Car Wreck
One of the members of the Dominican
rap group Sandy y Papo died on Monday (July 12). Luis
"Papo" Deschamps was killed in
a car accident at the age of 23. Sandy y Papo debuted in 1996
with music that combined merengue
rhythms with house and hip-hop. The duo, which also
included Sandy Carriello, had been
working on its third album recently.
