Claude Francois: Age 39

The French singer who did the most to popularize rock and roll music in France was Claude Francois. His career can be compared to that of Elvis Presley in America. His accidental death in 1978 sent shock waves through the Gallic music world and even inspired a number of female fans to attempt suicide in order to join him in the next world. Two of them succeeded...On March 11, 1978 Claude was at his Paris apartment at #46 Boulevard Exelmans, with an American girlfriend named Kathleen, and a French secretary. In the afternoon he took a shower in preparation for a trip to the recording studio. After finishing his shower, he noticed that the light bulb in the socket hanging over the shower was burned out. With his feet in the water, he reached up to change it, and was instantly electrocuted. Efforts to revive him failed. He was pronounced dead at 3:30pm.

Leslie "Les" Harvey: Age 27
Stone The Crows
(b. 1946, d. 3 May 1972).
Leslie Harvey younger brother of Alex first recorded work was on an Alex Harvey LP called " The blues" in 1964 when Leslie was 16 years old. He joined his brothers band and from then until the formation of Stone The Crows in 1966 . The quintet's early blues-based albums were notable for both Maggie Bell and Jimmy Dewar's expressive vocals and Leslie Harvey's textured, economic guitar work. However, an inability to match their live popularity with record sales led to disaffection and both John McGuinness and Dewar left on completing ODE TO JOHN LAW. On 3 May 1972, Leslie Harvey died after being electrocuted onstage at Swansea's Top Rank Ballroom. Although the group completed a fourth album with Jimmy McCulloch from Thunderclap Newman, they lacked the heart to continue and broke up the following year.

Keith Relf: Age 32
The Yardbirds

The legacy of the Yardbirds has refused to die, particularly in the wake of the fame enjoyed by its former guitarists. After leaving the Yardbirds, Relf and McCarty stayed with music, first forming a folk duo called Together and then founding Renaissance. The band scored its biggest hit, the top ten single Northern Lights, in 1978 after both former Yardbirds had left. Relf departed the group in 1972, and died in his bathtub on May 14, 1976, electrocuted by his own guitar. His last album with the heavy metal band. Armegeddon. (Yardbirds)

Keith Relf did not die in the bathtub.
He had fitted out the basement of his house as a recording studio and this is where he was found on the floor by his son. His guitar was not properly earthed, and although the shock was fairly mild Keith had been ill and was not fit enough to withstand it. ~Tana friend of Jane & Keith

It needs to be cleared up - Keith died as a result electrocution when playing his guitar unearthed and standing over a hidden gas line by the fireplace - he DID NOT die in the bath. All sites should amend their details

John Rostill: Age 31
The Shadows
(John Henry Rostill, b. 16 June 1942, Kings Norton, Birmingham, England, d. 26 Nov 1973)
John joined the shadows in November 1963 as replacement for Brian Locking. Staying with them until the break up in December 1968, and being part of the ´re-formed Shadows` in 1969/70 makes him the longest serving bass playing member of the Shadows. Tragically, John didn't live to see the enormous success of his songs. On November 26th 1973, Bruce called at his house to work on some songs. When He and John's wife Margaret gained access to the studio, they found that John had been electrocuted.
